Developer & Photographer
Kjartan is a Norwegian multi-disciplinary entrepreneur and artist with a background in software development, photography, film and community building. He thrives working with projects that lies in the intersection of technology and sustainability; preferably benefiting society in some way.
Kjartan is a fullstack developer and a graduate of Le Wagon, a top ranked coding school for entrepreneurs. His current stack is React, Ruby on Rails, HTML, CSS, WordPress, with a preference for front-end work. He also enjoys developing MVPs for startups as a project manager, as his entrepreneurial background gives him a good understanding of product development and the importance of lean startup methodology / rapid prototype development. Kjartan has a large network in the startup scene both in Scandinavia and Germany.
When it comes to filmmaking and photography, Kjartan has more than 10 years of experience as a professional photographer, and 8 years as a filmmaker.
On a personal level, Kjartan is interested in mindfulness, co-creation, conscious leadership and decentralization. He is affiliated with Metamoderna, a Danish think tank which goal is to develop and spread the metamodern philosophy and to support movements, governments, NGOs, businesses and networks of individuals in the transition to the digitalized, global and increasingly postindustrial economy.
Lastly, Kjartan is one of the co-creators of The Borderland, Europe's largest self-organized festival with 3 200 members.
